US— Electronics retailer Best Buy has extended its data sharing agreement with The NPD Group to run for another three years.
Best Buy will continue to supply The NPD Group’s retailer panel with point-of-sale data for all major consumer electronics and IT purchases, mobile phone purchases and small and major appliance sales, both from ‘bricks and mortar’ establishments and ecommerce channels.
The retailer will also contribute information to NPD’s Commercial Technology panel.
Don Unser (pictured), group president of NPD’s retail business group, said: “We are pleased to continue our 16-year relationship with Best Buy and to provide the best possible understanding of today’s dynamic marketplace for all of our clients.”
